The Neighborhood

Capital Metro Public Transit

  • Capital Metro crews built, in 2010, a bus stop at Kaleidoscope Village Lot 2 for Route 323 Anderson / Johnny Morris. You can use the CapitalMetro trip planner to test out routes and travel times. Use 6314 FM 969 as the address for Kaleidoscope Village. The old route 23 Johnny Morris that served Cavalier Park was a "local" route that had less useful connectivity. The new route 323 Anderson is a "crosstown" route (see schedule and description at Capital Metro). Public transit service to KV is expected to continue to improve as the 969 "Green Corridor" continues to develop.

Roads and Traffic

  • US 183 to go north or south. US 183 is being improved and will not be tolled.
  • New Bergstrom Expressway toll lanes will be built (estimated completion in 2015) in the median of US 183 and will greatly speed up through traffic and reduce local traffic.
  • MLK or 51st St. to go west
  • A short distance to the east of KV is Loop 130, a great way to bypass IH35 if you're heading out of town.
